Born in Romania, Dan Ioanes, studied medicine at “Facultatea Iuliu Hatieganu” Cluj Napoca and graduated in 1992. He practices medicine in Sweden since 1994. Specialist in internal medicine, cardiology and interventional cardiology. Senior consultant cardiologist at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg since 2007. Special interest in complex PCI procedures, chronical occlusions, percutaneous valve implantations (TAVI), septal alcohol ablations, Reducer treatment of chronic angina. Member of the Working group on PCI and Valve Interventions at Swedish Society of Cardiology, full member of Euro CTO club and member of the European Educational Committee of EAPCI.
